President Bola Tinubu has directed a special committee of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to urgently implement measures aimed at crashing food prices nationwide.
The Presidentโs directive comes amid growing public outcry over the rising cost of essential commodities, which has put pressure on households and businesses across Nigeria.
According to the Presidency, the FEC committee will design and enforce immediate interventions to stabilize the market, improve food availability, and ensure affordability for ordinary Nigerians.
Analysts say the move underscores the administrationโs recognition of food inflation as one of the most pressing economic challenges facing the country.
